SPHS Media CenterThe Mission of the The SPHS Media Center is to teach students to be effective and independent users of information.The library media center provides a wide variety of print and Internet access. The media center collection contains over 13,000 books, 1,300 audiovisual materials, 75 magazine subscriptions and several online references. The Media Center's instructional program emphasizes the research process as well as the development of literature appreciation. The media center also offers students the opportunity to explore college and career options through books, catalogs, videos and visits from college representatives.

Media Center Policies and Procedures  

Passes are required during lunches and can be obtained in the morning from Mrs. Fitzgerald.

No food or drink is allowed. (only water)   
                                                                  
Games, IM or other chat, personal email, & shopping are not allowed on school computers.

No cell phones at anytime in the library media center.

Students need their student ID number to check out materials.

Students are responsible for items borrowed.

Circulation Policies

Regular fiction and nonfiction books may be borrowed for three weeks.

Reference books and encyclopedias circulate overnight.

Magazines circulate for one week.
