The Foreign Language Department believes that global insights and cultural awareness help prepare students to become effective communicators and participants in both the community and world marketplace. There are offerings in Spanish, French, Latin and German. In class, students listen, speak, read and write in the target language. Creativity is encouraged through the use of skits and projects which reflect the various cultures. Cultural opportunities to attend plays, concerts, films and art exhibits supplement the curriculum. Students enjoy many opportunities to sample the foods of their cultures. Teachers often take students to visit the countries being studied in the classroom. Ms. Dailey -
