http://sphsmusic.org/ The Music Department believes that students should be encouraged to develop their musical talents to their full potential, thus enhancing their understanding and appreciation of music as an art form and its relevance to human life. A wide variety of course offerings are provided for all students of all ability levels. These include four levels of band, orchestra, chorus, guitar and piano and two levels of current music perspectives. As an extension of the band, orchestra, and chorus classes, students participate in county, state and national groups. For further information, see the AACPS Music Education web site.
